Intercooler Upgrade

The Treadstone BMW 135/335 Front Mount Intercooler is one of the best performing direct bolt on intercoolers you can buy. Increase 15Hp with this basic bolt on, and up to 40hp with cars running increased boost. This intercooler is over 48% more internal flow area than stock and works with the stock piping for a complete bolt on upgrade This Treadstone Intercooler features precision bent sheet metal aluminum end tanks.

Each Treadstone Intercooler is hand TIG welded in a jig for a perfect fit and pressure tested to 100 psi to ensure maximum performance. Treadstone's intercoolers cores utilizes high density internal fin design with bar and plate construction.

Installation Notes:

  • Trimming of the front bumper is required for fitment. The amount of trimming required will depend on the vehicle model and trim level. A 2.5 inch coupler, 6 inches in length with 2 T-bolt clamps will be required for the passenger side.

  • For the passenger side, the mounting solution will vary depending on the charge pipe being used. If using the stock charge pipe: A 2.5 inch coupler, 3-4 inches in length with 2 T-bolt clamps will be required for the driver's side.

  • The factory union pipe between the lower charge pipe and upper charge pipe my be distorted. We recommend adding another 2 T-Bolt Clamps and a 45 degree coupler to delete that union.

  • Additionally, the lower clamp will need to be cut from the factory pipe which will then be replaced with the coupler and T-bolt clamps.
