DC Sports was presented with an entirely new set of challenges due to a change in the design of the factory exhaust system. Remaining committed to building street-legal, CARB exempt headers, and given that the catalytic converter is welded to the secondary and cannot be changed, the R&D department designed these generation of K-Series headers that make power from the primary only. Special attention was paid to the collector on all headers built for K-Series motors. Computer Aided Design and extensive dyno work led to this successful collector design. The collector works in conjunction with the factory secondary to increase power throughout the powerband.
